Weekly Theme:" Wearin' of the Green"

I had many green projects started for this week's theme, but they are all still in process, to be ready for some future week, I guess.

What captured my attention and time this week was my first metal clay project ~ yes, I finally got up the courage to open the PMC3 bag! The fine silver disks started out as rolled-out clay, from which I traced two circles. After making the holes, I allowed the clay to dry, sanded it a bit, and then used a bit of water to enable me to apply the decorative squiggles. They were then fired in our kiln.

I can see the flaws in them, but they are my first metal clay project, and I now know how each little mark translates into mega-flaws in mirror finish silver. Still, a fun project and great components for these earrings of rainbow moonstone nuggets.
