Weekly Theme:"Its All About the Clasp" (May 25, 2005)

According to my watch, I have 11 minutes to spare ~ heh. If you thought I couldn't do "Outrageous," its time for me to prove you wrong.

After the crazy weeks of doctors, pain, rush orders at work and nebulous investment opportunities, I suppose my muse just couldn't hold it all in anymore... tonight, in the midst of people hanging precariously on ladders to hoist my new refurb hot tub onto the second floor deck, myself whizzing to clean the house and serve refreshments, an afternoon of sitting down with new tenants to sign a lease while tumbling and cleaning several dozen pieces of jewelry to get ready for Saturday's show, I still managed to do a last minute piece on theme! Go me!

This brangle is built around a formidable shell donut which actually becomes the clasp, and it is decorated with Hill Tribe charms and wire worked loops and spirals. A hammered, coiled, looping loop in the center of which nestles a large onyx rondelle flanked by Bali silver bead caps plays host to a domed oriental coin charm. Also featured on the brangle is a lampworked green, yellow and black clear bead, a pale Peruvian green opal rectangle with tiny Bali bead caps, a Karen Hill Tribe mystical turtle bead and accemt beads which celebrate the many swirled colors in the shell clasp, plus various Bali silver spacers. This brangle is not meant for the timid!
